Composer, philosopher, student of popular culture, photographer, curmudgeon. “The unexamined life is not worth living, but the unlived life is not worth examining.” If you don’t have a truly valid reason for getting up in the morning, then stay in bed. One would hope that what is written here is original and insightful. If not, don’t waste your time reading this, you’ve probably thought about all of this already all by yourself. We live our lives in the context of our times. We must reexamine what we do, how we feel, what we think in our own terms and not the terms foist upon us by the dictates of our current culture. Think about what living in another age would force upon us and think about what we would do if what was expected of us was the common thinking of a less enlightened time (or, perhaps a more enlightened one). Act accordingly. If, as Newton said, we have seen further than others, it is indeed because we have stood upon the shoulders of giants. Let us attempt to be giants so others may see even further.
Beautiful thoughts, beautiful photography
Beautiful you.
Deja vu.
Some things don’t change.

Thanks, but the photography is not mine – it’s just a WordPress template.
Oh, great. Thanks for having such a damn good blog. Now I’m going to have to read it everyday. Curse you, curmudgeon!
Thanks, Kip. That comment hurts because I used to publish under the name “The Curmudgeon” but sadly, it was taken. BTW, been to your blog and it’s excellent! Keep up the great work!
Bonime-
Are you coming back with more diatribes? Need folks fighting the good fight. Barnburner in the Hoosier state my friend. Well written comments you have.

Thanks so much for your encouragement! I took a brief vacation because I felt that I had already said all there was to say: Hillary got ugly, the press did its usual circus of highlighting the trivial and unimportant aspects of the candidates true values, and I just got tired of saying the same thing over and over again. But As we move into the endgame and especially the Obama/McCain part of this campaign, I can promise you I’ll be back again, saying what the press doesn’t seem to cover, or covers incorrectly.
Thanks again for your encouragement. It’s nice to know we have intelligent readers!
